In
keeping with the social obligations of a mature company, it is Nevada's policy
to give a fixed percentage of our profits to charitable organizations. Our greatest
privilege is sharing success with the community that has supported us over the
years.
Sauti Moja – Social Responsibility on a Global Scale
As an industry leader, Nevada Learning Series ensures that we give back to those less fortunate. Nevada donates a fixed percentage of its profits to charitable organizations. Our greatest privilege is sharing our success with the community that has supported us over the years. The Nevada-Longido team recently met to discuss the excellent work being done by Sauti Moja, a Canadian charity that focuses on improving the lives of indigenous peoples in Africa. Specifically, Sauti Moja focuses their efforts to improve the lives of women and children who live under the most-difficult conditions. Nevada Learning Series is thrilled with the work being done by Sauti Moja, and was happy to donate another cent from every guide sold during the last quarter. Pictured below is the Nevada-Longido team as they met to discuss current projects.
American
Forests - Investing in our environment
American
Forests is one of the leading conservation groups in North America. Thanks to
American Forests' ongoing planting project, Global ReLeaf, 20 million new trees
will be spreading their roots into the next millennium. Through Global ReLeaf,
Nevada is sponsoring the replacement of every tree used in our guides and promotional
material, and will replant at least one tree for each one we use in the future.
Visit the American Forests website to learn more about Global ReLeaf, or to sponsor
a tree of your own! www.amfor.org
The
Hospital for Sick Children - Helping our community
Nevada
contributes to The Hospital for Sick Children, a teaching hospital of the University
of Toronto specializing in the treatment of childhood illnesses. Sick Kids
emphasis on innovation and training attracts top medical specialists from all
over the world. The hospital plays an important role in promoting children's health
internationally. Take a look at The Hospital for Sick Children's website to learn
more, and find out how you can make a donation. www.sickkids.on.ca
