Posting workbooks and worksheets as Web
pages |
1. | From the File menu, choose Save as Web Page. The Save As dialog box appears. |
2. | Click the Web Folders button, located along the left side of the dialog box. Excel lists available Web folders in which you can store Excel files for later viewing with a Web browser. |
3. | Double-click the Web folder in which you want to post your Excel file. |
4. | Specify whether you want to save your Entire Workbook or a Selection: Sheet. If you click Selection: Sheet, you can also click the Add interactivity checkbox. This allows users to manipulate data on the Web page. Interactive Web pages can only be viewed reliably in Internet Explorer™ 4 or later. |
5. | To change the title that will appear at the top of the browser, click the Change Title button. Type the new title in the Set Title dialog box and click OK. |
6. | Click the Save button. Your spreadsheet is saved as a Web page in the folder you chose. |
Tip: When you use the Add interactivity option, Excel automatically creates your Web page with spreadsheet functionality. If you prefer PivotTable functionality, or want to specify which parts of your file to post, click the Publish button and set the appropriate options in the Publish as Web Page dialog box.
