Using AutoCalculate

Use AutoCalculate for quick, one-off calculations, e.g. calculating the sum of just a few cells.


1.

Select a range of cells containing values (numbers) that you want to use in your calculation(s). You can select adjacent cells, or use the CTRL key to select non-adjacent cells.

2.

Right-click the AutoCalculate area on the status bar (see below), then choose one of the available functions (e.g. Sum). The calculation result is displayed in the AutoCalculate area.
