Using Range Names

Range names simplify your worksheet by replacing cell references (e.g. B10:D22) with simple, descriptive labels (e.g. SALES).

To assign range names: select the cell(s), row(s), or column(s), then from the Insert menu, choose Name|Define. Type the range name without spaces. Click Add, then click OK.

To paste range names into formulas: press F3, select the range name from the list, then click OK.

To go to a named range: click the down-arrow on the Formula Bar , then choose a range name. You can also press CTRL+G or F5 and select a name from the dialog box.
